Dennis Gurley's Biography

Born in Hayti Missouri, Dennis Gurley's musical journey first began in the late 1970's. Founding his first rock group, the group played around the area at local clubs and various other functions & events. By the mid 1980's, growing tired of the typical club scene, Dennis, who was already honing his songwriting skills, started writing, arranging and recording his original songs. Since then, Dennis Gurley has recorded, toured the country along with maintaining his own recording studio "Alley Trax Recording". Dennis's influences are the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, the Byrds, and the Jayhawks to name a few, and can be experienced by listening to his lastest CD, "Another Avenue". when you hear Gurley's songs what you hear isn't the sound of now or even the sound of then - it's something beyond that - something timeless. From folk music to rock & roll, country to pop, there are a lot of threads running through Dennis Gurley's music...
